ELDERLY CARE ASSISTANT

Position Summary

We are looking for caring, responsible and reliable Elderly Care Assistants to support elderly individuals in their daily activities and contribute to their wellbeing, comfort and safety.

The successful candidates will provide practical and personal support according to everyone’s needs, while respecting their dignity, privacy and independence.

Previous experience in elderly care is an advantage, although suitable candidates with a caring attitude and willingness to learn may also be considered. 

Core Responsibilities

•  Provide daily assistance and companionship to elderly individuals.
• Support individuals with personal hygiene and grooming when required.
• Assist with dressing and undressing.
• Support mobility and transfers, where appropriate.
• Assist with meals and hydration.
• Help with everyday activities and routines.
• Ensure a safe, clean and comfortable environment.
• Accompany individuals to appointments or activities when required.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.
• Observe and report any relevant changes in the individual's condition or behaviour.
• Follow care plans and instructions provided by supervisors or healthcare professionals.
• Respect confidentiality, privacy and individual dignity.
• Maintain appropriate records and report relevant information when required

• Basic knowledge of health, hygiene and safety procedures.
• First Aid training is an advantage.
