Position Summary
We are looking for motivated, reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helpers to join our client's kitchen team.
The successful candidates will provide general support to the kitchen staff, helping with food preparation, cleaning, organization and the smooth running of daily kitchen operations.
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage, but training can be provided for motivated candidates.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with daily food preparation.
- Wash, peel, cut and prepare vegetables and other ingredients.
- Prepare basic ingredients according to instructions.
- Assist with the preparation and organization of kitchen stations.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots and kitchen equipment.
- Clean and sanitize work surfaces, equipment and kitchen areas.
- Receive, move and store food supplies and kitchen materials.
- Ensure food preparation areas are kept clean and organized.
- Assist with stock organization and rotation.
- Dispose of waste according to hygiene and safety procedures.
- Follow instructions from chefs, supervisors and kitchen managers.
- Comply with food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
- Perform other duties appropriate to the role.
Essential Requirement
- No formal qualification required.
- Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, hotel or catering environment is an advantage.
- Good physical condition and ability to perform manual work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Commitment to hygiene and food safety standards.
- Valid right to work in the relevant country.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation is an advantage.
